Strawberry Mousse

This strawberry mousse is a light and tasty treat, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 package frozen strawberries; thawed, crushed & drained
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • Whipped cream and shredded coconut (optional)

Directions:
Beat egg whites to a soft peak. Add sugar and beat again to form stiff peaks.
Mix a third of whites into the strawberries and then fold the strawberry mixture into the remaining egg whites, a little at a time.
Whip the heavy cream until stiff and fold into the strawberry mixture. Chill thoroughly. Top with whipped cream or coconut, if desired.

Pairs well with Centennial and Moscato wines.
